Pricing depends on the size of the room, the condition of the walls and the type of work needed. A single room skim typically starts from around £150–£300, while a full re-plaster may be £300–£600 per room. We always provide a free, no-obligation quote so you know exactly what you're paying before we start. No nasty surprises.
A standard single room skim can usually be completed in a day. Larger rooms, ceilings and re-boards may take 1–2 days. Full house projects obviously take a bit longer, but we'll give you a clear timeline before we start so you can plan around it. We work efficiently without cutting corners.
New plaster needs to dry fully before painting, which usually takes 2–4 weeks depending on the room's ventilation and time of year. You'll know it's ready when the plaster has turned from dark brown to a uniform light pink. We always advise applying a mist coat (watered-down emulsion) first before your top coats.
We ask that you clear smaller items from the room before we arrive. For larger pieces of furniture, we're happy to help shift them to the centre of the room and cover them with dust sheets. We protect all floors and surfaces with heavy-duty sheeting, and we clean up thoroughly when we're done.

If your existing plaster is solid but just a bit rough or uneven, a skim coat is usually all you need. If the plaster is blown (hollow-sounding when you tap it), crumbling or very damp-damaged, you'll likely need a full re-plaster. We always assess the walls properly before quoting so we can advise the right approach — we won't sell you work you don't need.
